The Corinthian Church was considered to be a "high maintenance church"- taking two steps forward and three steps back. Planted by Paul, in the wicked city of Corinth in Greece, the church had fallen victim to the immorality and influence of the corrupt culture. Paul's heart had been broken by false teachers whose goal it was to discredit Paul and undermine all that he had taught them. Paul wrote loving letters to the believers not only to correct and rebuke them, but also to comfort them.

As the most personal letter Paul has written, it will teach us much and will transform you because this epistle will mentor and disciple you as we see the heart of Paul and his personal experience with God is revealed.
