| How to Use |
It is an exciting time at Essex Alliance Church as our growth affords us the opportunity to offer many different types of small groups in various formats and locations in our communities. The growing number of groups and types has brought us to a new era of how you can connect with a group. This directory has been designed to help you understand how the small group ministry works and assistin finding a group that you would like to join.
How does the small group system work?
We now have three small group semesters throughout the year.
Fall semesters are from September – December
Winter/spring semesters are from January-May
Summer semester is from June – August
Each trimester will be preceded by an opportunity to apply to lead a new group in the upcoming trimester, orientation for new group leaders and a time to sign up for a group. Members of an ongoing group who plan to continue will sign up by informing their group leader.
What information is contained in the listings?
This directory contains descriptions of the small groups currently offered this coming semester. Each listing includes a brief description of the type and make up of the group, where, when and how often the group meets, the number of group openings, and information for contacting the host. While all of our groups are asked to be open to new members, space constraints in homes often limit how many people the group can accommodate. Therefore, some groups might not openings at this time.
How can I find the type of group I am looking for?
The directory is divided in sections according to group emphasis, such as, Bible study, fellowship, activities, outreach, women, men, young adult, etc. Each section is listed according to day of the week with location.
How do I connect with a group?
Call host’s that have indicated they have openings and ask questions to determine if that group would be a good fit for you. If so, let the host know you want to join the group. You may do this at any time.
